Worry Praying or Trust?
Have you ever worried prayed? You know you are to take it to God, but you stay up all night “worry praying.” I’m not saying there isn’t a time to pray through the night, that’s not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about when you are overcome with worry. You pray about it, but you keep worrying about the problem in your prayers.

Psalm 69:32 NLT, says “Let all who seek God’s help live in joy” …. Hmmm, not all who seek God’s help keep on worrying. Philippians 4:6 sums it up “Don’t worry about anything. Instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” (NLT)
Recently I spent nights awake “worry praying” so much so that I was becoming sleep deprived. The situation overwhelmed me so much that it was nearly all I could think about. If anyone mentioned anything close to the subject of my worry, tears would drip down my face.
I’m thankful God understands. He came to me, wiped the tears from my eyes and told me to thank Him for what He IS doing. I got up from the couch where I had been tossing and turning, opened a fresh journal page and listed all the things He was already doing about the situation. The list was long!!! Peace flooded my soul. Soon I snuggled down under my blanket as the early morning light started to glow in the east.
The next day I was hit with a huge amount of stress from an entirely different direction. My heart cried out to God for comfort and help. It was as if God stepped in and said “enough!”
It was then…while out on an errand I received a phone call, a direct answer to my former long sleepless nights. He read my thankful list. He had turned my worry into trust that He would look after the problem, and He did it when I needed it most.
Yes, you came when I called; you told me, “Do not fear” Lamentations 3:57 NLT
Your blog posts always teach such a great lesson. As I prepare to launch my blog/website, I hope mine will do the same for my readers.
Thank you and Congratulations! <3
Thank u Shawna, I so appreciate your testimonies! I can remember at one prayer meeting I went to, it was mentioned about a young missionary at a missionary station who prayed to the Lord because things were not going well at the station where he was and he did not receive an answer, so he went to stay with another missionary to really give his all to prayer, when he came to the missionary’s house, he saw a picture on the wall with the words written on it “Try Praise” just those 2 words changed everything for him and he went back to the missionary station where he came from sooner than expected! Thank you so much for your testimonies and lovely pictures. Much love to you
